It is a legal requirement that all tail lift platforms are visible in poor light conditions. Some tail lift manufacturers fit flashing warning lights to their platforms however most fit the type of High Visibility Marker Flags shown below.

Tail Lift Flags should be replaced if the red reflective strip becomes damaged or detached. Two marker flags or lights at the front corners of the platform should always be displayed.
